The RecMic series is an advanced line of direct audio recording systems with a USB microphone designed for professionals, especially in medical, legal and many other industries. Decades of experience in developing such recording hardware resulted in a holistic development approach that always considers the dependencies between the device, the software and the user – for unrivalled usability. Reliable Slide Switch

In line with the overall ergonomic design of RecMic devices envisaged for comfortable one-handed operation over prolonged periods of time, the dedicated slide switch* has a durable rubber roller mechanism for smooth operation using just one thumb. As well as being reliable and intuitive to use, it also reduces the risk of inadvertently pressing buttons, as well as reducing operational noise – for enhanced sound quality.

Highly Durable USB Cable

Since Olympus devices are designed to last, the professional-grade USB cable attached to RecMic recorders is 10 times more durable than normal USB cables. Furthermore, the cable bush embedded inside the devices enhances the tension strength to the highest extent – meaning that replacing products due to a defective USB cable will be a thing of the past. The fixed USB cable connection also prevents devices from being stolen or removed from their designated place.

Programmable Buttons for Customised Workflow

The RecMic series features five buttons – F1 to F4 on the front, and one on the back – that can be freely assigned to various functions to suit a particular preference or recording environment. This tactile control enables one-handed usage without having to look at the device itself – making it make more suitable and comfortable for professional operation than any touchscreen-controlled input device.
The click lock function even allows the user to
drag & drop objects or to mark text paragraphs with one hand.

Device Configuration Manager (DCM)

The RecMic series is engineered to work best with Dragon NaturallySpeaking™ speech recognition software – for perfect results that are more accurate than ever. The Device Configuration Manger is a software tool that allows for simple control of third-party applications such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking™. Different events can be assigned to the buttons and slide switch for each respective application. The Set-up Wizard provides the user with invaluable assistance when configuring applications for their daily business.

RecMic Administration Center

Olympus has developed the RecMic Administration Center for medium-sized and large organisations, especially designed to centrally manage all installed RecMic devices. The RecMic Administration Panel* gives the administrator the power to manage the settings of RecMic users and user groups, centrally control settings for applications on the client computers, and roll out firmware updates for all devices.
